How to Turn a Floor Plan Into 3D
Conversion is straightforward once the rooms exist. The work is in making the 2D plan complete enough that the 3D model is worth walking through.
Finish the floor plan before 3D
A plan with missing doors will look stranger in 3D than in 2D. Add the pieces you care about, then open the model.
Use the 3D walkthrough as a check
If a path feels tight or a table looks oversized, go back to the plan. The 3D view is a review tool, not a second project.
